thug - a media appropriation bot
The Problem¶
many media sites such as youtube or twitter contain material which is actually released under copyleft. however, they do
not offer an easy way to retrieve such media. There are of course tools to do so, but most of those tools do not retrieve the context ( title, description, author ) of the media file. thug will attempt to do excactly this.
thug is a bot because it will retrieve such media including the context information and republish it elsewhere.
